Purposeful Action Creation & Engagement
Giving Teens and Young Adults Access to Services They Need to Lead and Succeed
The Purposeful Action Creation & Engagement (PACE) program is a multi-faceted approach to expanding youth access to jobs, education, enrichment, mentorship, and leadership opportunities through advocacy, referrals, and parental support. By improving service delivery from city agencies and nonprofits, we aim to significantly enhance services for hard-to-reach youth. Additionally, we are building a pipeline to prepare youth for decision-making roles on Redwood City advisory bodies, ensuring their readiness to succeed in these positions.
PAL Center’s comprehensive, youth-informed program connects teens and young adults (ages 14-21) and their families to:
-
Jobs
-
Paid internships
-
Education
-
Coaching
-
Mentoring
-
Leadership opportunities
-
Parental support
PACE keeps at-risk, transition-aged youth safe and out of the justice system and provides positive outlets to help them identify natural talents and avenues for growth, including:
-
High school flex classes
-
Intensive life coaching
-
Mentoring
-
Jobs
-
Paid Internships
-
Social activities
-
Mental health services
-
Violence interruption interventions

Impact in Action
Hear from one of our members, Isaac, who shares how his participation in our Community Power Path program has positively changed his life.
PAL’s non-traditional approach to improving public safety has been proven to reduce youth-related disturbances, vandalism, and petty theft by offering positive alternatives for growth and success.
Community Power Path also invests in our community’s political capital by nurturing youth representation in civic matters and creating a government that better reflects the people it serves.
Every teen and young adult deserves access to quality services, and career development and leadership opportunities
